JULIA ANGELARD EIGHTH IN THE FINAL OF THE 2ND ROUND OF ROK CUP ITALIA

  • Julia Angelard is heading for the second round of ROK Cup Italia Championship series in the 2025 season.
  • The JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing driver will appear on track 7 Laghi Kart International Circuit in Castelletto di Branduzzo this weekend.
  • The 13-year-old Pole’s goal is to show the best possible pace and show what she is capable of on the track she already knows from last season.

The just-finished second round of ROK Cup Italia on the 7 Laghi Kart track will certainly remain in the memory of the Polish competitor for a long time. Julia Angelard, a protégé of Minardi Management, showed solid pace already during Friday’s training sessions – in the second training session she took first place in her group, and in subsequent training sessions she took 6th and 7th place, respectively.

Demanding track and slightly overworked settings during the time trial
Although the pace shown by Julia Angelard allowed us to think about an excellent result in the qualifying session, these expectations did not fully translate into the expected result. 7 Laghi Kart Track at Castelletto di Branduzzo is quite a specific object that has very good grip in dry conditions. It has several very fast corners, tight hairpins, but also two long straights. 7 Laghi is very demanding – as a result, some of the competitors were not able to physically make it through the weekend. It’s not easy to get the hang of the settings if you don’t have enough training and experience on this track. In case of Julia the settings prepared for qualifying did not turn out to be optimal and Julia Angelard had to face not only rivals on the track, but also difficulties related to driving the machine. However, she did not allow herself to lose her chance for the best possible result, placing 10th in her qualifying session.

Sunday’s warm-up confirmed that Julia Angelard has great pace and is perfectly at home on the track. The 13-year-old Polish girl took seventh place, and then took ninth place in both heats. Thus, throughout the weekend, the JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing competitor was among the top ten competitors on the track. A good performance in the heats allowed her to start in the final from 14th place, and Julia Angelard, in her own style, once again broke through the field on the track to finally take 8th place, as the highest classified female competitor in the second round of ROK Cup Italia.

A 13-year-old who excels among older and more experienced rivals
“I’m incredibly happy to have advanced six positions in the final. There was a lot of fighting on the track, but I wasn’t afraid of bold maneuvers that ultimately paid off. Despite fighting against older rivals, I gave it my all, including several difficult overtakes and crossing the finish line as the fastest girl on the track. Now I’m looking forward to a quick return to Poland, repacking and… a flight to the 2nd round of Champions of the Future Academy in Valencia. I am proud of how I raced last weekend and I believe that the next rounds will be just as good, if not better,” admits the JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing competitor.
