JULIA ANGELARD IS HEADING FOR SECOND ROUND OF CHAMPIONS OF THE FUTURE ACADEMY

  • After a sensational performance during the second round of the ROK Cup Italia on 7 Laghi Kart track, Julia Angelard is heading to Valencia.
  • There, at Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero, the JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing driver will face strong competition for the second time this season under the watchful eye of F1 Academy representatives.

Just like Formula 1 drivers, 13-year-old Julia Angelard will also have another racing weekend in a row. This time, a protégé of Minardi Management, after a few days break in Poland, will go to Valencia, where the second round of the official FIA series – Champions of the Future Academy – will be held this season.

No cloudy attitude, although with a chance of rain
Last weekend, Julia Angelard proved on the track that she has the pace to fight for the best possible positions – even with not entirely appropriate go-kart settings before the qualifying session. Positive after a solid eighth place in the final race, the teenage Pole is counting on an equally successful visit to Spain. Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero offers ten turns, consisting of an extremely winding section and three straights, connected by a turn and a chicane, thanks to which it allows you not only to efficiently overtake slower competitors on the track, but also to show your skills in tight corners. Moreover, on such long straights, staying behind the rival in the wind tunnel is as important as in Formula 1 – it allows you to set a much better lap time.

This is a facility that requires precision, patience and the ability to get the most out of the go-kart, as well as enthusiasm, which Julia certainly has in abundance. Choosing the right tires and go-kart settings may be crucial, as the forecast predicts numerous clouds and precipitation, which introduce a lot of uncertainty and numerous reshuffles in the grid.

Julia Angelard: I hope the weather turns out to be kind
“Looking at the weather forecast, anything can happen. I’m glad that last time, in difficult conditions, we managed to take advantage of choosing the right tires. I hope that this time the weather will be kind to me. Regardless of the result, I know that I will give my all, and a solid round in Castelletto di Branduzzo certainly gave me a boost,” admits the JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing competitor.
