OVER 800 KM FOR MATTIA BUCCI IN VALLELUNGA IN THE FIRST COLLECTIVE TEST

The “Piero Taruffi” circuit in Vallelunga hosted Mattia Bucci in his latest test program scheduled for the 2022 sports season, with an eye to the future as regards the work to be done during the new year.

Mattia’s inexperience was an important factor during the two days of testing: for Mattia it was his first time on an international track. The difficulties encountered were useful in the growth path of the standard bearer, eager more than ever to get back on track after the winter break.

Mattia was assisted by AS Motorsport, a team that took part in the Italian Formula 4 Championship racing right in the racetrack located in Lazio.

Mattia Bucci: “I’m very happy with the work done on the track. In these two days in Vallelunga we learned about this new very important track, especially from a championship point of view. We covered a lot of kilometres, which add to my wealth of experience. Due to some technical problems we weren’t able to show our full potential, but I’m sure that, by continuing to work in this way, we will be able to bring home good results. I thank all my family, Giovanni Minardi and all Minardi Management, AS Motorsport and Andrej Slak, my sponsors and partners for the continuous support-shown-and-for-all-the-work-they-do.”

Giovanni Minardi: “There were some adaptation difficulties during these two days of testing, partly due to some changes in Mattia’s riding position and partly because, probably, there wasn’t the necessary adaptation to go out super satisfied with these tests. We found some things we need to work on and this is important given the lack of experience Mattia has with the new Tatuus. These tests have shown us more precisely the particularities to improve: we would all have been happy if the chronometer had set a faster time, but they are called ‘tests’ precisely because we have to try and see where we have to work. Now we are waiting to know our chances for 2023, so as to be able to create the best prerequisite for working at our best: now we are going on vacation and next year we will start again meaner than before.”

James Egozi (IOk) greets the Naples circuit satisfied with the work and the results achieved in the Fia World Championship.

James Egozi “The 2022 FIA World Championships didn’t go exactly as planned. We battled the weather on Friday and unfortunately qualified 59th. I didn’t give up on Saturday, having made my way back to 25th overall in the heats, until a crash on the final heat put me back to 38th.On Sunday, I was determined to make the final. With an 11th in the Superheat, I was set to start 33rd.
After a long 20 laps of hard racing, I was able to gain a total of 22 places to cap off the week with an 11th out of 90.All things considered, I leave this years World Championship with my head held up high, proud of what I accomplished”

FRENCH F4 – GRIT AND DETERMINATION FOR VALENTINO MINI AT MAGNY-COURS

After Nogato and Pau Ville this weekend Valentino Mini got to know the demanding Magny-Cours track, the third of seven rounds scheduled for the French Formula 4 Championship.

For the Italo-Panamanian driver it was not an easy weekend as he was immersed in the indifference of the other drivers, dictated by the lack of experience in this championship and with the track since this is his debut season. Despite the difficulties encountered, especially in the first sessions, Valentino took to the track with grit and determination managing to put together of good comeback in race-2, finishing in 13° place after the retirement due to a collision in the final stages of the first race. In race-3 he again placed in the top-15, putting together more kilometres and experience that will be useful for him in the next trip, to Spa-Francorchamps scheduled for July 28-30.

Giovanni Minardi “We knew that the weekend would not be easy for Valentino. Magny-Cours is a track with some complex points and the lack of experience with the track and the car made the difference in the result. Once again he managed to race for many kilometers, putting together a positive comeback in race-2 that in part cancelled the results in qualifying and race-1. Now we will focus on Spa-Francorchamps by programming some days of tests.”

Valentino Mini “We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but I am pretty happy because I have finished eight races in nine and stayed in the top-15. Too bad for the having reached the points zone again. Now I will begin working on the next appointment to improve my performance.”

F4 FRANCE – VALENTINO MINI IN THE POINTS IN PAU VILLE. NEXT ROUND: MAGNY-COURS

From Nogaro last weekend the French Formula 4 Championship moved to the demanding Pau Ville street circuit for the season’s second round. In its long history the historic track has welcomed champions of the calibre of Tazio Nuvolari, Alberto Ascari, Jim Clark, René Arnoux and Juan Pablo Montoya up to the seven times Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

At the wheel of the Mygale #77, Valentino Mini took advantage of the experienced gained in the inaugural weekend by taking his first points in race-2 thanks to the seventh place of the 24 entrants. Starting from fifteenth place the promising young driver of Panamanian Motorsport climbed up the positions reaching the top ten and finishing in seventh place that earned him the first points in the championship without making any mistakes. In race-1 he had already made himself the protagonist of a positive comeback crossing the finish line in twelfth place. As had already happened in Nogaro “Vale” finished the three races accumulating experience and kilometers that will surely be useful for him to continue his growth in view of the next rounds.

Giovanni Minardi “I’m very satisfied of the work carried out so far by Valentino. Since the Nogara weekend he has grown a lot in both terms of qualifying and in the race with seventh place. The championship is very selective with a high level of drivers, many of whom are in their second season. On the other hand, everything is new for him, from the car to the staff of the circuits. For this very reason I am doubly satisfied of the result achieved”

Valentino Mini “It was a positive weekend in many ways, both for the first points in the championship and for having finished all three races. Compared to the debut race I felt at ease with the car and this helped a lot. Unfortunately a collision in race-3 made me lose a number of positions but I took the car to the chequered flag in any case ”

Now Valentino Mini will go to the Magny-Cours circuit for the third round of the championship scheduled for May 13 to 15 that will also see many times world champion Valentino Rossi at the wheel of the Audi R8 in the GT World Challenge on the track.

VALENTINO MINI TO DEBUT IN THE FRENCH FORMULA 4

Valentino Mini will be the protagonist of the French Formula 4 Championship at the wheel of the Mygale. Today the championship can already count on an entry list made up of twenty two drivers from ten different countries. The promising young driver of Panamanian Motorsport born in 2006 in Caracas will take part in the seven appointments of the French F4 Championship scheduled from next April 16 until October 14 with every weekend composed of three races for a total of 21 rounds. At stake is also access to the Renault Sport Academy.

Valentino Mini’s pathway therefore continues in the French championship with the ambitious objective of bringing the country of Panama to the peak of Motorsport. There are two appointments scheduled for outside France’s borders. The Nogaro track will open the 2022 season scheduled from April 16 – 18 followed by Pau Ville (6-8 May) and Magny Cours (13-15 May). June 28 to 30 the championship will move to Belgium for the first “away” trip to the fascinating historic Spa-Francorchamps track on the occasion of the 14th Grand Prix of the Formula 1 World Championship. From September 9 to 11 after the summer break the Lédenon track will host the fifth round and the following week will be the turn of the Spanish leg in Valencia (16-18 September) in preparation for the final appointment at Paul Ricard (October 14-16).

In preparation for the debut in the championship Valentino participated in two week of intense training on the Le Mans track organized by the French Federation.

Giovanni Minardi: “I am very happy to have been able to bring Valentino into Europe by entering him in the French championship, one of the most important in the world of Formula 4 that in recent years has launched many young talents that have put themselves on show in all the superior categories. I am convinced that Valentino too will be able to immediately show his worth by following in the footsteps of champions who reached Formula 1 in which I had the pleasure and honour of working closely in the Minardi F1 Team. “

Valentino Mini: “On the incredible Le Mans track close to the FFSA Academy I spent days of incredible physical and mental training, in addition to having the opportunity to drive. I will treasure this experience in the opening round of the championship at Nogaro which will open my first season in F4. I am very happy to be able to meet and work with people who have great experience in Motorsport, including engineers, mechanics, athletics trainers and drivers”
