F4 FRANCE – VALENTINO MINI IN THE POINTS IN PAU VILLE. NEXT ROUND: MAGNY-COURS

From Nogaro last weekend the French Formula 4 Championship moved to the demanding Pau Ville street circuit for the season’s second round. In its long history the historic track has welcomed champions of the calibre of Tazio Nuvolari, Alberto Ascari, Jim Clark, René Arnoux and Juan Pablo Montoya up to the seven times Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

At the wheel of the Mygale #77, Valentino Mini took advantage of the experienced gained in the inaugural weekend by taking his first points in race-2 thanks to the seventh place of the 24 entrants. Starting from fifteenth place the promising young driver of Panamanian Motorsport climbed up the positions reaching the top ten and finishing in seventh place that earned him the first points in the championship without making any mistakes. In race-1 he had already made himself the protagonist of a positive comeback crossing the finish line in twelfth place. As had already happened in Nogaro “Vale” finished the three races accumulating experience and kilometers that will surely be useful for him to continue his growth in view of the next rounds.

Giovanni Minardi “I’m very satisfied of the work carried out so far by Valentino. Since the Nogara weekend he has grown a lot in both terms of qualifying and in the race with seventh place. The championship is very selective with a high level of drivers, many of whom are in their second season. On the other hand, everything is new for him, from the car to the staff of the circuits. For this very reason I am doubly satisfied of the result achieved”

Valentino Mini “It was a positive weekend in many ways, both for the first points in the championship and for having finished all three races. Compared to the debut race I felt at ease with the car and this helped a lot. Unfortunately a collision in race-3 made me lose a number of positions but I took the car to the chequered flag in any case ”

Now Valentino Mini will go to the Magny-Cours circuit for the third round of the championship scheduled for May 13 to 15 that will also see many times world champion Valentino Rossi at the wheel of the Audi R8 in the GT World Challenge on the track.
