MATTIA BUCCI CLINCHED HIS MAIDEN CAREER WIN IN SINGLE-SEATERS AT MISANO ADRIATICO

He stood on the podium twice in this “Formula X Italian Series” round, winning Race 2, which marked his first triumph in car racing

The last race of Mattia Bucci‘s sports season in “Formula X Italian Series”, specifically in the “FX Pro Series” category, is over. The event took place at Misano Adriatico where he achieved the best possible result, conquering his first win in single-seaters and sealing a round that saw him as a protagonist.

Despite uncertain weather conditions on Friday, with rain briefly affecting the circuit, the driver from Abruzzo quickly established himself at the top of the leaderboard: he secured third place in the first Free Practice session and set the fastest time in the second session. During Qualifying, he recorded the third-best lap time of the day after a close battle for Pole Position, which eluded him due to traffic on track.

On Saturday, the young talent from Catignano returned to the podium, finishing third in Race 1. Although he initially secured second place in the early stages of the race, he later lost it. The magic happened in Race 2 on Sunday: starting from the fourth position on the grid, Bucci wasted no time in gaining a crucial second position, which he converted into a victory thanks to a penalty imposed on the driver ahead of him. This triumph was the result of his exemplary performance on the track.

Mattia Bucci expressed his thoughts on this significant result, stating
“This win is very important for me and my family, as it represents the culmination of our sacrifices. I don’t know how to describe this feeling, i’m incredulous! I never expected to achieve such a result in only my third career round in car racing. With a total of three podium finishes in 2023, we established a solid foundation to build upon in 2024. I want to dedicate this success to my family, my manager Giovanni Minardi and Minardi Management, Sandro Giuliani and the entire SG Motors team, my staff and sponsors and i want to thank all those who have supported me throughout me journey. I will immediately begin working for next year.”

VLADIMIR IVANNIKOV CHANGE TEAM

Amazing news are coming ahead…
Vladimir Ivannikov changes the team, and will switch from Team Gamoto to the official Energy Corse Team, powered by Machac Motors.
In the last two days Vladimir already worked on track with his new team Energy Corse Racing Team to test the new material between the two most important tracks, Lonato and Franciacorta, until the end of the season 2023. Vladimir immediately adapted to the new material and showed already great improvements lap after lap. The team, we as his management and also Vladimir and his family were all extremely satisfied after these test days and sure about the decision we all made together. In the next two weeks he will participate in the last two WSK events, the Final Cup, in preparation for the new season already with his new team.
In 2024, Vladimir’s schedule will be very tight, he will participate in all WSK, RGMMC, CIK FIA European and World races, as well as other races around Europe and beyond.

Giovanni Minardi: “I am very happy for Vladimir to have reached this agreement with Michele Panigada and his team. I’m sure we can do great things together and obtain amazing results. I have to thank a lot to Machac Motors for their support and help they have given us and will give us throughout the next season.”

Vladimir Ivannikov: “In the last two days I’ve done a few tests with my new team Energy Corse Racing Team, and I’m really satisfied with the feeling with the new chassis and we are very positive looking forward for the next races. I see this change of team as a huge opportunity for my personal and sportive growth and I am excited to start racing under the colors of my new team for great results, victories and trophies in OKJ category.
A special thanks to my manager, Giovanni Minardi which fought so much in the last months to obtain the best sportive opportunity for me”.

THE LAST RACE OF THE YEAR WILL TAKE PLACE IN MISANO, AND MATTIA BUCCI IS SEEKING REDEMPTION

The difficulties faced in Magione were part of a learning process that will culminate in Misano Adriatico, the venue for the final round of the “Formula X Italian Series”

The prestigious and historic Misano World Circuit, named in memory of the late Marco Simoncelli, will host in this weekend the final round of the “FX Pro Series”, a prominent championship within the “Formula X Italian Series” landscape.

The SG Motors’ Tatuus F4 T-014 will once again be driven by Mattia Bucci, who is eager to redeem himself after the challenges encountered in Magione. However, those difficulties have been valuable in terms of his learning process as the Abruzzo-born driver approaches his third race weekend in single-seaters.

The event’s schedule has undergone a change compared to what was seen in Varano de’ Melegari and the Umbrian stage: “The Flash” will hit the track from Friday for Free Practice and Qualifying while the races, namely Race 1 and Race 2, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

“To race on a historic circuit like Misano is an honor for me, it’s another small milestone achieved after so many sacrifices – said Mattia – I am very happy about it and can’t wait to get in the car. I want to thank my family and sponsors for the opportunity they have given me, Giovanni Minardi and the entire Minardi Management for their help and support during this period, Sandro Giuliani and SG Motors for allowing me to continue with them, and all my staff.”

The race will be broadcasted on the Facebook page of “FX Racing Weekend – GT4 Italy” and on the YouTube channel “Formula X Italian Series – GT4Italy.”

ZACK ZHU A NEW ENTRY FOR MINARDI MANAGEMENT

Minardi Management is pleased to announce that the French/Chinese driver, Zack Zhu, joins our Motorsport Agency.
Zack started this year to race in Italy participating at the ROK Cup Italy, and afterwards during the year also in the WSK Championships and the Italian Championship.
His last appointments for the 2023 season will be the two WSK Final Cups in Lonato and Franciacorta with his team Gamoto, after which we will focus on the planning of the 2024 program.

Giovanni Minardi: “I am really very happy to welcome this young talent in our family and to manage and support Zack and his family on his way to a sportive career. I already noticed Zack at the beginning of the year when he was racing alone, under his own tent and with his father who acted as his mechanic. He showed great speed and a beautiful way of driving already at the beginning of the season, and so my interest for him was awaken. Today he has grown a lot and has shown that he has great potential to work on and obtain excellent results.
I am convinced that next season he will be one of the protagonists of the Mini category”.

Zack Zhu: “Hello everyone, my name is Zack Zhu, I’m 11 years old. I’m Chinese, born and live in France. Today I’m proud to join the Minardi’s”

GIUSEPPE GUIRRERI JOINS MINARDI MANAGEMENT

Minardi Management is pleased to announce the entry into its Agency of the young Sicilian talent born in 2006, coming from the Carrera Cup Italian Championship.
The young sixteen-year-old is the youngest driver within the Porsche Championship and took his first Championship point in the penultimate round in Misano during the Porsche Festival. He will now prepare to face the last event in Imola on the weekend of 28/29 October, after which he will start working for the 2024 season.

Giovanni Minardi: “I’m extremely happy to start working with a driver like Giuseppe, with very clear ideas and with precise objectives. After karting he decided to immediately try his hand at covered wheel racing despite his young age, but this is because he strongly wants to join a car manufacturer as an official driver. I will give him all my support and experience to allow him to realize his dream. We’ll give it our all.”

Giuseppe Guirreri: “I’m delighted to join such a prestigious management company as Minardi Management. Their history and experience in the world of motorsport will certainly be an added value at this stage of my career and I can’t wait to start working together. Now full focus on the last round of the Carrera Cup Italia.”

MINARDI MANAGEMENT AND KAROL BASZ ARE SEPARATING

Minardi Management announces that from today we will no longer work together with our driver Karol Basz.
The partnership had lasted since 2014, 10 years of racing and many successes, such as the victory of the Kart World Championship in the KF category in 2015 at La Conca, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Championship in 2021 and many other victories in all the Championships in which he partecipated.

Giovanni Minardi: “Last week I spoke with Karol and we took this painful decision by mutual agreement. In recent years it has not been easy to find the right accommodations for Karol, even though he deserves to race in the best Touring Car Championships as a professional driver and therefore we thought that there was no longer any need for a figure like mine to support him.
Today Karol is a driver that everyone knows and a winner. He is capable of racing until the limit and winning any race and championship, with any type of Gran Turismo car.
I wish him all the best for the continuation of his racing career and for his future.”

MINARDI MANAGEMENT AND BENJAMIN WESTWOOD TOGETHER

Giovanni Minardi is pleased to welcome to the Minardi Management family the young maltese driver Benjamin Westwood, born in 2012.
In the current season Benjamin participated in the category Mini Rok at the ROK Cup Italy, the ROK Cup Trophy and as well as at the ROK Superfinal at Lonato, with his team GP Racing Karts and at several local Championships in Malta.

Giovanni Minardi: “I’m really proud to have found an agreement with Benji and his family. I believe Benji has great potential, despite his lack of international experience.
I am sure that next season, by being able to plan the season in the best possible way, we will be able to get some excellent satisfaction.
We are evaluating what will be the best path for Benji for next season and we will talk with GP Racing team about any possibilities for professional growth.”

Benjamin Westwood: “A dream I had of building a kart to ride in the streets near my house, has turned from a weekend hobby to now racing both locally in Malta and in Italy.
We are excited to announce that I will be joining Minardi Management team, where I look forward to further developing my karting career.
I would like to thank Giovanni for this great opportunity moving forward, and I’m excited and really looking forward to a good year of competitive karting in 2024”.
