MINARDI MANAGEMENT AND KAROL BASZ ARE SEPARATING

Minardi Management announces that from today we will no longer work together with our driver Karol Basz.
The partnership had lasted since 2014, 10 years of racing and many successes, such as the victory of the Kart World Championship in the KF category in 2015 at La Conca, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Championship in 2021 and many other victories in all the Championships in which he partecipated.

Giovanni Minardi: “Last week I spoke with Karol and we took this painful decision by mutual agreement. In recent years it has not been easy to find the right accommodations for Karol, even though he deserves to race in the best Touring Car Championships as a professional driver and therefore we thought that there was no longer any need for a figure like mine to support him.
Today Karol is a driver that everyone knows and a winner. He is capable of racing until the limit and winning any race and championship, with any type of Gran Turismo car.
I wish him all the best for the continuation of his racing career and for his future.”

MINARDI MANAGEMENT AND BENJAMIN WESTWOOD TOGETHER

Giovanni Minardi is pleased to welcome to the Minardi Management family the young maltese driver Benjamin Westwood, born in 2012.
In the current season Benjamin participated in the category Mini Rok at the ROK Cup Italy, the ROK Cup Trophy and as well as at the ROK Superfinal at Lonato, with his team GP Racing Karts and at several local Championships in Malta.

Giovanni Minardi: “I’m really proud to have found an agreement with Benji and his family. I believe Benji has great potential, despite his lack of international experience.
I am sure that next season, by being able to plan the season in the best possible way, we will be able to get some excellent satisfaction.
We are evaluating what will be the best path for Benji for next season and we will talk with GP Racing team about any possibilities for professional growth.”

Benjamin Westwood: “A dream I had of building a kart to ride in the streets near my house, has turned from a weekend hobby to now racing both locally in Malta and in Italy.
We are excited to announce that I will be joining Minardi Management team, where I look forward to further developing my karting career.
I would like to thank Giovanni for this great opportunity moving forward, and I’m excited and really looking forward to a good year of competitive karting in 2024”.

DEVEN GRABKO MAKES HIS DEBUT IN JUNIOR

Deven Grabko is ready to debut in the new Okj and X30 Junior categories.
At the end of the season, in addition to carrying out a good number of test days, he will also start racing with his team AD Motorsport with a good defined program. Deven will do his first race in X30 at the IAME Final at Lonato and his debut in WSK at the WSK Final Cup again at Lonato.

Giovanni Minardi: “I am very happy that Deven is making the leap in category, because unfortunately this season we have paid a bit for his physical size which has compromised on several occasions the ability to bring home excellent results. I am convinced that with his driving skills, he will quickly adapt to the new category and will immediately go strong and be able to compete with the strongest in the category. I can’t wait to see him in action in the race.”

Deven Grabko: “It feels amazing to move into juniors! I’m really happy with the decision to make the move up after getting into the kart for the first time. The speed and power is incredible! It is a whole new challenge for sure, everything is new! It is going to be really tough, but I am super excited to take this on full speed ahead, and I’m really looking forward to these next weeks of hard training to make sure I am ready for my exciting Fall Race Program. During my first test days, I’ve already had the chance to test in both wet and dry conditions, which is great, and I am so looking forward to getting down to business!
I’ve had awesome support from everyone around me – Giovanni, AD Motorsport, my mechanic Hugo Holm, my family, and of course my sponsors!
I’m really grateful for that, because without all these people I wouldn’t even be here. I’m going to do my very best to repay the trust and support from them with good results. Let’s do this!”

MATTIA BUCCI STABLE IN TOP FIVE IN THE MAGIONE ROUND

wo fifth places are the result with which “The Flash” returns home from the Autodromo dell’Umbria. A different weekend from Varano de’ Melegari but important in the growth process

It was not an easy weekend for Mattia Bucci in Magione for the penultimate round of the “Formula X Italian Series” category “FX Pro Series”. The young Abruzzo representative had to face some unexpected difficulties on the track, which, from the perspective of a debutant, proved useful in expanding his experience for the upcoming events.

The Free Practice sessions on Saturday saw Bucci qualify in fifth position in both sessions, a result that was also replicated in Qualifying: the first sign of how this race in Umbria was different from the story lived in Varano de’ Melegari.

Race 1 started with a red flag due to an accident that fortunately did not involve Mattia; as a result, the race duration was halved and, furthermore, the Race Direction changed the starting procedure to a rolling start. Starting in fifth position, Mattia then crossed the finish line without any changes.

The achieved result allowed him to line up his Tatuus F4 T-014 on the second spot of the starting grid for Race 2. Thanks once again to a good start, Bucci was able to defend his position at the start of the second of the two Sunday races, acquiring the right to attempt an assault on the race leader. Unfortunately, a difficult tyre management then caused a loss of performance that saw the Catignano ace slip to fifth under the checkered flag.

Mattia Bucci commented on this atypical weekend: “It was a very formative weekend for me, even though we didn’t bring home the result we wanted. I am very happy with how the team and I have faced all the difficulties that arose. Now we have a month to work hard for the next race. I want to thank Giovanni Minardi and Minardi Management for their support, Sandro Giuliani and the entire SG Motors team who have worked hard to provide me with the best possible package, my athletic trainer Walter Marini and his staff, my staff, my family, and all my sponsors for their constant support.”

DEVEN GRABKO CROWNED SWEDISH WESTERN REGIONAL CHAMPION – WILL MAKE INTERNATIONAL RACE DEBUT IN THE JUNIOR CATEGORIES

Trollhättan native, 11 year old racing talent, Deven Grabko, to make his international race debut this Fall in the Junior Karting Categories.

Deven, who is represented by the famous Italian Driver Management Agency, Minardi Management, was only last weekend crowned the Swedish Autosport Federation Western Regional Champion in the Mini 60 kart racing category. He will now make the step up to Juniors, joining the age group of 12-15 year olds before his 12th birthday, making him one of the youngest drivers to make the jump to this larger, much more competitive category.

Deven currently races with his team AD Motorsport, who are based in Helsingborg, Sweden. Together with his team, he has enjoyed multiple podium and top 10 finishes this season, as well as his first international category race win, when he claimed victory in the final round of the IAME Series Sweden at the Sviestad Motorsport Complex Karting Circuit in Linköping, Sweden in September.

The young racing talent has made huge development steps this season, and Giovanni Minardi, his manager, believes he is ready to take the next step in his career, and make his international race debut in Italy.

Deven will spend the next 6 weeks in intensive training to prepare himself for his debut at the IAME Final Games Italy on November 11 and 12. The event takes place at one of the most famous and prestigious karting circuits in the world, South Garda Karting, in Lonato, Italy.

Following this race, Deven will make his WSK Promotions debut at the same track from November 16-19, and officially enter the international karting scene, racing against many of the best drivers in the world in their categories.

Deven says, “It feels really good to claim the SBF Regional Championship. I worked really hard all season in a new class, and made huge steps in my development. Now I am really excited to take this next important step in my career. It is going to be a huge challenge to not only move up to the junior categories, but also to race against the best in the world on my debut in the class. Junior karts have bigger chassis, more powerful engines, and higher grip levels than I have ever driven, but I will do everything I can to make sure I am prepared and ready.”

Giovanni Minardi believes Deven can go far. “I am very confident Deven will thrive in the Junior categories. He has a huge talent, is super fast, and is a smart guy as well. I cannot wait to work with him down in Italy where he can be looked at by all the big players. I am going to do everything I can to support his journey and his dream.”

Deven Grabko is a Swedish American racing driver born in Trollhättan, Sweden, and raised in both Trollhättan as well as San Diego, California. He attends school in year 6 at Paradisskolan’s English Speaking Curriculum in Trollhättan.

Minardi Management is a well reputed Italian Driver Management Agency run by the same family who owned the Minardi Formula One team from 1985 to 2000’s and have been an active and influential name in motorsports throughout the years. They are known to bring their drivers from a young age through the kart racing categories and into single seater formula racing.

MATTIA BUCCI TO CONFIRM THE RESULTS OF VARANO DE’ MELEGARI AT THE AUTODROMO DELL’UMBRIA

A change in the schedule of the “Formula X Italian Series” has allowed for an additional round of the “FX Pro Series” championship: the chosen venue is the Autodromo dell’Umbria in Magione
Mattia Bucci is ready to hit the track and battle it out in this weekend in the “FX Pro Series” category, a weekend that was originally scheduled without any events in the “Formula X Italian Series”. A decision by the organizers regarding the calendar has brought life to the dates from October 7th to 8th 2023, deleting the silence that would have surrounded the Autodromo dell’Umbria in Magione, the next stop in “The Flash’s” career.

After a great performance in the last round at Varano de’ Melegari, where he achieved a podium finish in Race 2, the goal set by the Abruzzese rookie is to continue what was shown at the circuit located in the province of Parma, further showcasing the results of a challenging yet formative growth journey.

Sandro Giuliani’s SG Motors and his staff will suppport once again the ace from Catignano with their Tatuus F4 T-014.

“I am very happy to be able to return to the Magione circuit for the new penultimate round of the ‘Formula X Italian Series'” Mattia declared. “In the past two weeks, after returning from Varano de’ Melegari, I have been working hard in the gym with my trainers to improve both my physical and mental strength in preparation for the end of the season. I am excited to be back battling on track with the other drivers, and my goal is to improve the results achieved previously. I want to thank my family and SG Motors for allowing me to get back on track, my manager Giovanni Minardi and the entire Minardi Management for their invaluable advice, my trainer Walter Marini and his staff for the work they have done in these days, and all my sponsors who support me day after day. I will push to the maximum to achieve the best possible result.”

MATTIA BUCCI CONQUERS THE PODIUM IN VARANO DE’ MELEGARI

A fourth and a third place were the results achieved by the Abruzzese representative in the two races of the Formula X Pro Series, part of the “Formula X Italian Series” championship
Mattia Bucci successfully completed the weekend at Varano de’ Melegari in the “Formula X Italian Series”, an event that saw him make his debut in single-seater racing for the first time in his career after some test programs he has done so far.
The weekend started on Saturday with the official free practice sessions, where Mattia managed to set the fastest time in the second of the two sessions, showing immediately a great feeling with the Tatuus F4 T-014 of SG Motors.

The Sunday program included the qualifying sessions in the morning, which ended with the fourth best time. In Race 1, due to a less than brilliant start compared to his much more experienced opponents, he founded himself involved in overtakes and duels that brought him back to fourth position, a placement that would be useful for taking advantage of the reverse grid format in Race 2 and starting third in the afternoon race.

The determination that has always distinguished the ace from Catignano allowed him to climb up again in the second of the two races, once again due to an unfortunate start. After crossing the finish line, Mattia was able to celebrate his first podium in single-seaters in parc fermé.

Here are Mattia Bucci’s statements: “I am very happy to have achieved this result. I have made immense sacrifices in preparation for this debut. This result is significant for my path as a driver, but I must not treat it as a destination, but as a beginning towards bigger goals. Standing on the podium was special, especially after seeing the emotion of my parents. I want to thank Giovanni Minardi and Minardi Management for the incredible work they do for me, my athletic trainer Walter Marini and his staff, all the sponsors who support me, and last but not least, my family.”

KAÏS AZIZA CHANGES TEAM

The driver Kaïs Aziza has decided to change team for this end of the season.
The handover from Team Driver to Gamoto, by Salvatore and Vincenzo Gatto, will take place from this weekend for the last race of the Aci Italian Kart Championship on the Franciacorta track and will continue for all events from here until the end of the season.

Giovanni Minardi: “We had to make this change to ensure that Kaïs was in peace and could continue his professional training in the new category that had just started, the Okj-N. I thank Team Driver, from the owner Devid De Luchi to the whole team for the excellent work done until today.
I’m sure that the choice of Team Gamoto will be able to give all the serenity the driver needs and lots of excellent advice to improve day after day.”

MATTIA BUCCI WILL MADE HIS RACING DEBUT ON SEPTEMBER 24TH IN VARANO DE’ MELEGARI

After a long preparation process, which saw Mattia Bucci involved in various testing sessions on the track, the ace from Catignano will finally make his racing debut
The event in which he will be the protagonist is the penultimate round of the “Formula X Italian Series,” in the “FX Pro Series” category, and it will take place at the Riccardo Paletti racetrack in Varano De’ Melegari, a circuit that is dear to Mattia due to his past experiences in testing sessions. The race weekend includes the following dates: September 23rd and 24th.
Mattia will compete with the Tatuus F4 T-014 from SG Motors, a structure that is friendly and loyal to the Catignano representative and that allowed the young driver to make the first step from karting to single-seaters.
Mattia Bucci commented on his impending debut like this: “Finally, the moment I’ve been waiting for almost a year has arrived: my first race. I am very happy and excited to be on track next weekend for the penultimate event of the Formula X Italian Series. I will try to achieve the best possible result and, above all, gain valuable experience that will be crucial for the course of the season. I sincerely thank my whole family, especially my father who, together with my agents, will allow me to be on the track in Varano; the sponsors, and last but not least, Giovanni Minardi and Minardi Management, who are always very close to me. As I always say, I enjoy these challenges and I feel ready to fight on the track!”
